GK Chesterton

My country, right or wrong," is a thing that no patriot would think of saying except in a desperate case. It is like saying, "My mother, drunk or sober."
G. K. ChestertonEnglish author & mystery novelist (1874 - 1936)

He's right...but truly, sometimes one thinks things about one's mother they wouldn't necessarily say in public when perhaps they should. Accountability and all that.

Michele sent me to prove I could correctly use the phrase "one's mother." ;)

Well...it seems to be a bit desperate these days. But where you gonna go???

Ummmmmm...kinda like the "mom" thing. What are the options? (Although my mother's issues were not with alcohol--that was/is my m-i-l. My mother had a different set of issues.)
